Paul Gorman - A disorder that had troubled him since childhood – common variable immune deficiency (CVID) - brought North Smithfield resident Paul Gorman to The Cancer Center. In the spring of 2009 he had a PET scan of a swollen lymph node. A biopsy confirmed that it was Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system. Chemotherapy and radiation followed, and thirteen weeks later, in July 2009, he was back at his desk at Gateway Health Center where he has been a mental health counselor for more than a decade.View Paul's full profile here.
