The Internal Medicine Center at Memorial Hospital is your primary care team committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care. We employ a team-based, “patient-centered medical home,” model of medicine, which means we work closely with you and other health care professionals to ensure you get the best possible care. Our team includes internal medicine specialists, resident physicians, nurses, and behavioral health counselors.
Doctors of internal medicine, called internists, are trained to diagnose and treat adults. Our internists specialize in caring for your general medical needs as well as your acute and chronic medical problems. Your internist is the person primarily responsible for your health care and the head of your health care team. He or she provides preventive care and coordinates any specialty care you need, treating you as a whole person with unique experiences and concerns.
