With a flip of the switch, the Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island
Auxiliary will usher in the holiday season on Sunday, December 7, 2014
with the Glowing Gifts tree lighting ceremony.
The event, chaired by Irene Lynch and co-chaired by Barbara Zito,
will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., in front of the main entrance at the
hospital, 111 Brewster St., Pawtucket, RI. The public is invited.
Proceeds from this year’s Glowing Gifts will be used to purchase
an infant warmer for the labor and delivery area.
For their contribution, donors will be able to set a light aglow on the
Glowing Gifts tree in honor or in memory of a loved one. The names of
donors, honorees and memorials will be displayed on a banner in the
hospital’s main entrance.
The event will include a beautiful tree lighting, entertainment,
refreshments and family-friendly activities. Santa Claus will make a
