The Incredible Years Program – a collaboration of Memorial Hospital’s New England Pediatric Institute of Neurodevelopment (NEPIN)
, The Children’s Workshop
and The Providence Center
– is accepting registrations for a February 4, 2015 start. Parents of children ages two to eight are eligible.
The Incredible Years is an evidence-based parent and child parenting program that strengthens parent-child interactions and attachment, reduces harsh discipline and fosters parents’ ability to promote their child’s social, emotional, and language development. Parents also learn how to build school readiness skills and are encouraged to partner with teachers and day care professionals so they can promote children’s emotional regulation and social skills.
The meetings will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m., on Wednesdays, at The Children’s Workshop, 175 Beverage Hill Ave., Pawtucket. Dinner and childcare are FREE.
For more information, call Ruth Sanderson, LICSW, at (401) 729-6200, or Roberta Zimmerly, parent consultant/program planner at NEPIN at (401) 312-2419.
