Amity Rubeor, DO, is a board certified family physician who completed additional training in a primary care sports medicine fellowship. After practicing primary care exclusively for 10 years, she is now focusing in sports medicine, including medical illness and injury.
Dr. Rubeor graduated from The College of William and Mary and then completed her medical training at the University of New England, where she completed a pre-doctoral fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She did her family medicine training at the Brown Family Medicine Residency and completed an academic medicine fellowship with Lancaster General Family Medicine. She worked as faculty for the Brown Family Medicine Residency for seven years, focusing her teaching in sports medicine, but practicing full spectrum family medicine, including obstetrics. She then completed her sports medicine fellowship at the Brown University-Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship.
In addition to working at Affinity Sports Medicine, she is now the associate director of the Brown University-MHRI Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship and continues to work as an assistant professor (clinical) in the department of family medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Rubeor enjoys teaching and has been fortunate to receive multiple awards from the medical students, residents and colleagues with whom she has worked.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Rubeor enjoys working with athletes of all ages and has a special interest in performance medicine and sports ultrasound.
