Augusto “Cookie” Rojas has recently become a member of the Board of Trustees of Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.

A Barrington, RI resident, Mr. Rojas has been the General Manager for the Pawtucket Red Sox for the past six years. He specializes in developing sponsorship and event ideas, corporate advertising and group sales, budget planning and implementation and media and community relations for the Paw Sox.

Mr. Rojas was a former Assistant Vice President for Pawtucket Credit Union, a past Senior Vice President/Campaign Director for the United Way of RI and a past Paralegal for the RI Attorney General’s Office.

Mr. Rojas is an Adjunct Faculty member at Johnson & Wales University, teaching Sports Management. He is the past Board President of the East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Rojas earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Suffolk University Law School, Boston, MA and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rhode Island.
