The Center for Rehabilitation is an integral part of Memorial Hospital’s Stroke Program. The comprehensive program provides early risk evaluation and prevention, emergency time-sensitive assessment and treatment, a dedicated Stroke Unit, acute in-hospital rehabilitation and outpatient rehab and home care.

The Center for Rehabilitation at Memorial uses a team approach to provide individualized treatment plans for patients. Family members are an essential component of the patient’s rehabilitation program and are instrumental in their progress.

The Center for Rehabilitation utilizes the latest, state-of-the-art equipment, people and support for patients throughout their stay and long after they’re back at home, helping each patient achieve his or her highest possible level of function.

Memorial’s Center for Rehabilitation is the only facility in Providence, Blackstone Valley and nearby Massachusetts to receive the highest level of Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) Stroke Specialty Designation.

The Stroke Specialty Designation for inpatient rehabilitation services recognizes Memorial Hospital's continuum of acute stroke care.
