What does a family physician do?
Family physicians specialize in caring for you and your family throughout your lifetime. We know that your family’s health history can affect your health. We provide personalized care to help you make the right choices to prevent disease and lead a healthier life. Focusing on your physical, mental and emotional well-being, we diagnose and treat a wide range of problems and bring in other specialists when needed. We use the latest approaches to address chronic medical problems, including group medical visits.
A Team Approach
The Family Care Center is the home and teaching site for the Department of Family Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Center staff provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to patients of all ages.

Using a team approach, experienced physicians, all faculty of Brown's medical school, supervise and work side-by-side with resident physicians, nurses, dietitians and behavioral health specialists to meet your healthcare needs.
