The Memorial Hospital Auxiliary was founded in 1911 to serve the hospital. Through the years, this has included funding social workers, buying milk and eggs for sick patients, sewing bandages, to raising funds to buy medical equipment.
Departments throughout the hospital have been helped by such Auxiliary projects as:
- Equipping examining rooms.
- Creating the chapel.
- Starting the Lifeline response system.
- Getting a voice-activated computer for Pediatrics.
- Purchasing an infant security monitoring system and birthing tubs for The Birthing Center.
