Services:Memorial's outpatient speech-language therapy program is designed for patients of all ages with speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders. These conditions may arise as the result of neurological disorders or trauma and may also include hearing impairment.
A speech-language pathologist (sometimes informally referred to as a speech therapist) will evaluate your condition and develop an individualized treatment plan to improve your skills. Your therapist often cares for you as part of a team of professionals, which may include teachers, physicians, audiologists and social workers.
A written referral from your physician is required for therapy. It must include your diagnosis, the physician's orders, and be dated no more than 30 days before your initial visit to us.
The Physical Medicine department at Memorial also offers
