Memorial GiftsUpon the loss of a loved one, some famiiles prefer to have gifts directed to charitable organizations in lieu of flowers. Such gifts are gratefully received by Memorial Hospital. Individuals who are in charge of arrangements and newspaper notification should be advised that memorial gifts may be sent to the hospital's Fund Development Office.
Honorary GiftsSpecial wedding anniversaries, the birth of a child, graduations, birthdays and retirements are times when family and friends of Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island may choose to direct charitable gifts to the hospital. Such a gift made in honor of a family member or a friend who has a close relationship with Memorial Hospital can be a meaningful way to observe a major milestone event.
Individuals may direct memorial and honorary gifts of any size to Memorial Hospital, with typical gift amounts of $25 to $100. Unless otherwise directed by the donor, these gifts are directed to where they are most needed to support the hospital. Family members may also direct gifts to a particular department or to the Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island Annual Fund.
Donors will be acknowledged by Memorial Hospital and family members will be notified of the names and addresses of all individuals who make memorial gifts.
