Job Description: Primary duties of position include performance of transthoracic cardiac echocardiograms (two-dimensional, Doppler and color Doppler, echocardiographic studies); cardiac auscultation; performance of stress echocardiograms; preliminary interpretation of studies, including an assessment of ventricular performance, and assistance during transesophageal procedures. The provision of services includes assessing patients, developing plan for accomplishing procedure(s) ordered, and setting up room and equipment to accomplish procedure, ensuring quality images. Performs related duties as required.
Hours
: Per DiemEducation: Graduate of an approved program with an additional year of clinical experience or 2-3 years of practical experience. BS/BA preferred. Experience: An additional year of clinical experience or 2-3 years of practical experience preferred.
 License: Certified as, or legible to become a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS). BCLS certification required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with peers/other disciplines. Organizational and priority setting skills.  Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, metric system, basic mathematics, basic physics, EKGs. Detailed knowledge of cardiac auscultation, cardiac physiology, pathophysiology of valvular, myocardial and congenital heart disease. Ability to correctly to use M-Mode/2-D ultrasound equipment to perform imaging. Ability to correctly use electronic and computer equipment to perform testing procedures. Ability to use basic principles of physics necessary to perform ultrasound/Doppler. Knowledge of infection control and sterile techniques.

Job Description: Under the general direction of the Chief Technologist, follows departmental procedures and policies in conducting stress tests (exercise or pharmacological) in appropriate patients in the Cardiology Division. Explains the stress testing procedures to the patient and obtains informed consent. Prepares the patient for testing, including eliciting information on medical history, brief physical examination, and application of ECG electrodes. During the stress test, the technologist is responsible for operation of treadmill, operation and interpretation of the ECG monitor throughout the test; recording of blood pressure; assisting physician or nurse in determining termination of test; and generation of preliminary report for physician review. Responsible for maintaining adequate supplies in the laboratory. Assists with the preparation of patients for Holter and Event monitoring and with related duties. Performs related duties as required.  
 
  
Hours: Per Diem 1st Shift 8:00 AM- 5:00PM
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology 

Experience: One-year experience necessary.  Basic EKG interpretation experience required and familiarity with cardiac medication desirable
Certificate/License: BCLS Certification required
Certified Cardiographic Technician preferred or Certification by the American College of Sports Medicine as an Exercise Technologist preferred
Knowledge/Skills & Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with peers/other disciplines. Skills in planning, organizing and priority setting. Skills in critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making. Ability to understand basic principles of equipment operation in order to perform quality studies.Ability to work closely with patients.

Job Description: Performance of vascular exams – peripheral arterial and venous, visceral, extracranial, surgical bypass and interventional evaluation; records preliminary interpretation of studies on adult and geriatric patients; formulates preliminary report. The provision of services includes assessing patients, developing plan for accomplishing procedure(s) ordered, setting up room and equipment to accomplish procedure, and ensuring quality images. The technologist must solve problems related to the daily needs of patient, department and clinic with professional standards on documentation of care and timeliness. Performs related duties as required. 
Hours: 20 week (40 bi-weekly) 1st shift 

Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Biology, a health-related profession preferred. 

Experience: A minimum of two years of direct full-time work experience is preferred.Experience in carotid, peripheral arterial and venous, visceral, extracranial, surgical bypass and interventional evaluation preferred.

License/Registration/Certificate: BCLS certification required. Registered (RVT or RVS) Vascular Tech required. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with peers/other disciplines required. Ability to work independently. Skills in planning, organizing, priority setting, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making.Ability to work closely with patients
