To design and implement social work component of Behavioral Science curriculum for the Department of Family Medicine. To educate residents and medical students in assessment, intervention and resource access to address bio psychosocial needs of patient population in an Ambulatory setting.
Hours: 40 hours biweekly ( 1st shift)
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program required.
Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience after degree completion required.
Licensure/Registration: Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of RI
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: ·
Knowledge of geriatric, maternal/child and family psychosocial assessment and intervention procedures. ·
Knowledge of family dynamics as it relates to an ambulatory health care setting. ·
Knowledge of medical education, both undergraduate and graduate, teaching and learning principles, and design and development of social work ev
aluation systems. ·
Teaching and supervisory skills in the education of residents and medical students. ·
Communication and writing skills. ·
Excellent interpersonal skills.
